- Please wear your nicest clothes and nicest
shoes to church. Be careful when eating so that you can avoid staining
your clothes. After changing into street clothes make sure to hang
your church clothes.
- If you did not bring suitable clothing we
will have to call someone to bring them to you.
- Everyone in the room must be ready before
leaving to come downstairs; the entire room must come down together.
Please make sure to turn off bathroom lights as well as the room light.
- When going to church we line up by the
fountain in the formation of girls on one side, boys on the other,
shortest to tallest.
- Cross yourself when passing through both
sets of doors, before you kiss the icon, whenever you hear the priest
say "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit", and whenever the priest censes you and kiss the priests
hand when receiving a blessing.
- When being blessed place right hand over
left palm
- Always kiss priests hand when being greeted
- You are expected to participate in all
parts of the church service: singing and praying included.
- Most of our responses are repetitive so it
should not take you very long to get the hang of it.
- After the service stand quietly until it
is time to exit. DO NOT TALK, chew gum, laugh, rock back and forth,
lean or yell.
- We ALWAYS enter and exit the building thru
the back doors and back stairwell.
- Girls wear dresses/skirt and blouses and
shoes (skirts should not be more than an inch above the knee.
Shoulders and mid section should be covered
- Boys wear pants (no jeans), shirts
(appropriate) and shoes
- Make sure you have correct service sheets
either Matins (morning) or Vespers (evening)
- Address the Bishop as "Your
Grace," the priests as "Father" or "Oce," and
your elders as "Cika" (male) or "Teta"
(female).

During
meals

- Only 6 per table. why? (one counselor per
table after your juice or serving rotation)
- We always start and finish a meal with a
prayer.
- Please stand quietly and respectfully when
asked for prayer.
- You will be called up by table. Walk to
get in line, never run.
- Only take the food you can eat. If you
would like just a little of something let the server know.
- Always say please and thank you when you
are served
- After everybody has had firsts we will call
for seconds whenever you are ready.
- After you are done you may clean up and
wait quietly for others to finish.
- Please stay at your own table.
- Only one person will volunteer to clean
the table for inspection.
- Encourage the campers to sit with different
people
- The cleanest and quietest table will go
1st during our next meal, names will be on board
- Please sing and participate during the pre
and post meal prayer.
- Please stay out of the kitchen at all times

While
in your rooms

- No food, drinks, or cell phones in your
rooms.
- No one may have money in their rooms, a
money fund per camper will be set up for them to deposit and
withdrawal as needed
- Treat your roommates the way you would
want to be treated.
- Never make fun of, ridicule or disrespect
your peers or staff.
- Never go thru or take other peoples
belongings.
- Look to get to know everybody in your room.
- If you need something, ask your counselor.
- Never leave your room for any reason.
- You are never to go into another room
without one of the head counselors permission.
- You may only shower during scheduled
times.
- Keep your dormitory space tidy by making
your bed and putting your things away neatly.
- Keep your washrooms clean
- Showers will be taken daily, keep yourself
clean by bathing, washing, brushing your teeth, combing your hair,
wearing deodorant and dressing properly. Your room should make a rotation.
- You only have 5 min. in the shower.
- If your turn is next you should be ready
with your supplies.
- Your time starts the moment the person
before you opens the door.
- Always flush in between wipes.
- If you vandalize or break something your
parents (guardians) will pay to fix or replace the item.
- Any behavior or discipline problems will
be dealt with on an individual basis.
- Always use ladders and never jump from a
bed or to another bed
- Repeated or serious problems will lead to
your removal from camp.

Outdoor
activities

- Everyone in the room must be ready before

- Bring out any outdoor equipment by the
back door
- Once you leave you are not to come back
upstairs.
- Make sure you bring all the things you may
need for the afternoon. Towel, gym shoes etc.
- Always let the nearest counselor know if
you need to use the bathroom. We have one downstairs by the back
stairs and outside by the green/white building.
- Never leave the general area of the
activity. The lake, cemetery, monastery, or any other building/area
allows only supervised groups.
- Make sure you check your tournament schedule
periodically. If we cannot find you, your game will be rescheduled.
- Use proper sportsmanship at all times. The
person nearest the play should make the call. On a close or
questionable call always rule in favor of the other team.
- If you cannot resolve your differences
call a counselor or any adult for help.
- Water and a snack will be provided under
the tree.
- Try to mark and reuse the same cup for the
afternoon.
- Wait your turn in line. Never cut in front
of others.
- The water provided is for drinking only.
Do not wet yourself or others. We have well water for those types of
activities.
- Always throw your garbage in the cans
provided. Periodically you may have to pick up after others.
Thank you in advance.
- When it is time to come inside please help
out picking up all our equipment. Nothing ever gets left outside.

Pool

- Use caution while entering and exiting the
bus. Keep hands inside bus at all times. Never throw objects out the
window.
- Bring a towel. Only appropriate swimwear
will be allowed.
- Never push, shove or dunk others.
- Never run around the pool area.
- Always listen and obey the guards and
staff.
- Never fake a call for help never think a
call for help is a joke
- Come out of the water whenever asked.

Bon

- We will meet on basketball courts and
mosquito spray will be available.
- We will gather by the grill for prayer
prior to our meal (be patient)
- We will sit by the camp fire and picnic
tables around that area only
- We will sing songs by the camp fire as a
group
- After dinner we will roast marshmallows
- Help the younger campers find adequate
sticks
- Let the little ones go first (no little
ones may go near the fire unsupervised)
- Keep a safe distance away from the fire at
all times
- When we are done and excused by the fire
we will meet back by the basketball courts as a group

- Campers 12 and older may go into smaller
groups (minimum of 2) on their own but should check in periodically
with their original group, so have check points throughout the day
- We will divide campers into different
categories , daredevil, medium, limited rides and no rides
- No one at anytime may leave a group to be
on their own.
- No one may use the bathroom without
another person with them
- If you get separated from your group, stop
and look around for the colored shirts our camp is wearing, dont
wonder off right away looking for everyone.
- As soon as your group notices that a
camper is missing they should go back to the last area where you remember
seeing that camper.
- If you are uncomfortable immediately
contact any park worker and tell them you are lost, we will have
arrangement made with the park to contact us so we can find you, they
will take the camper to a building so we can find you
- Everyone must wear the Gracanica tee shirt
the entire day
- Mandatory dinner outside of front gates
next to the flags promptly by 6p.m. We will begin pray at that time do
not be late. Leave the park area in plenty of time
- The evenings get cold and you should plan
your water rides at the beginning of your day
- Let campers know that complimentary water
is available at all food stands
- You may pack a sweatshirt that we will
have available for you at dinner time
- Any prizes won prior to dinner will be
taken back for you at dinner and you may collect them at camp
- The park closes at 10p.m. Meet at the
flags where we were for dinner at 9:50 p.m.
- DO NOT BE
LATE FOR DINNER OR TO RETURN HOME

Candle Light Dinner

- We will be hosting a nice dinner on
Thursday night
- You have the option to ask and
escort a young gentleman or lady to dinner, this does not mean
you are engaged or going steady, this is an opportunity to get to know
someone and be treated special for an evening
- You may go with a group but make sure all
involved understand it is a group date so not to hurt anyones feelings
- If you wish to go alone you may do so and
sit with other individuals who have made the same decision
- If you are asked to go with someone and
would rather not please be polite and sensitive in your response
- Minimum time will be given to change after
church for the evenings event, still remember where you are when
dressing for the evening
- The Bishop will be joining us for dinner
so please remember to be on your best behavior
- After dinner you will be allowed to change
for dancing and games

Kolo

- We will be performing and be learning
kolos throughout the week, everyone will participate in Kraljevo
(Kings) Kolo which will be performed at our talent show
- No one will make fun of anyone and their
dancing ability
- It is okay for boys to dance next boys and
girls next to girls
- Practice will be held as many times as
necessary
- If dancing for fun in a kolo please do not
take over a lead when someone else is already leading and do not break
off and start a new line

Talent Show

- All campers will participate in the talent
show at some level
- A group skit will be available and
encouraged by at least 1 or 2 campers per room
- Individual talents may be performed with
prior approval as well as small group acts
- Please remind everyone that all acts must
be in good taste

Departure

Some campers may
be leaving on Friday night. When
departing please follow check-out procedures:
1. We need to have the person
picking up check out with a head counselor
2. Remember to pick up
personalized folder and any craft they made
3. Re-check your room for any
items left behind
4. Please make sure they have
cleared all dollars out of their money fund
5. Please make sure you begin
packing up on Friday afternoon
